The Big 'Pause: A morning of empowerment for women of all ages

Spark Cycling and Union + Co are thrilled to announce, The Big ‘Pause: a morning of empowerment through movement and knowledge for women of all ages.

For women of a certain age, perimenopause and menopause is present on the daily, and recently seems to have hit the zeitgeist more than ever before.

Our goal is to foster connection in a shared experience that often feels lonely, anxiety-ridden, and sometimes painful, both emotionally and physically. We hope that by bringing together leaders in our community will help spread knowledge and empower everyone who joins us.

Climate Conversations: Renovating for Resiliency

Thursday, November 21st 5:30pm - 7pm.

Climate Conversations: Renovating for Resiliency with Architect Emily Mottram.

As we experience more drastic climate impacts all over the world, how can we pay attention to improving the resilience of the homes we already have? Improving the air sealing, insulation, or performance of our homes can help us ride out longer power outages and more drastic weather. In this session, we will talk about how to renovate and maintain our homes in response to the climate impacts we are seeing in Maine now. The discussion will also cover choices that can be considered to reduce the climate impact of the materials we choose and the extent of the renovation we take on.
