Witch Cakes & Poppets: The Folk Magic of Salem

Join Union + Co. member, cultural historian, and Salem descendant Maya Rook for an exploration of Witch Cakes & Poppets: The Folk Magic of Salem. Even though many people of this era feared witchcraft, they still engaged with folk magic in their daily lives. Participants will discover the origins of various magical traditions, investigate how these customs came into play during the Salem Witch Trials, and even practice a form of divination together.

This event will be held in person at the Union + Co. conference room on Wednesday, April 13th, from 7 - 8 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
