Jocelyn Mackenzie and Jake Merhmann
GRANT LOT, Behind 31 Centre Street
SATURDAY, July 16th
DRINKS BY JACKASS ANNIE
With a shape-shifting sound that is at once personal and universal, Jocelyn Mackenzie creates intimate pop songs for a generation of seekers. She is a Brooklyn-based musician, maker, and psychic medium, best known as the singing drummer from Brooklyn’s indie-pop trio Pearl and the Beard. She released her debut solo album PUSH on Righteous Babe Records in early 2021, which American Songwriter calls “unique and infectious.”
NH based singer-songwriter Jake Mehrmann takes a wry, insightful approach to songwriting. Often focusing on the nuances of interpersonal relationships, his work has received praise from NPR’s All Songs Considered, among many others. He has toured and performed with the likes of Yo La Tengo, The Mountain Goats, and Deer Tick, both as a solo performer and as the frontman of Tan Vampires.
Doors at 6:30pm, Show at 7:30pm.
