Maine-Focused Documentary Film Screening at Union + Co in downtown Bath with New Hearth Media
About the Documentaries:
Known for their self-reliance and cooperation, Mainers hold a tradition of staying close to their food and working together in times of uncertainty.
In the documentary Adaptation and Resilience (15mins, 2016) a veteran fisherman in Saco and a first time aquaculture farmer in Harpswell navigate changing ecology and conservation measures in the Gulf of Maine.
In the documentary Local Foods in Cooperation (25mins, 2020) eight cooperatives network their specialities in farming, seed production, cheesemaking, fisheries, foodservice, and grocery stores to grow a food system that serves the local communities of Maine.
Screening Details:
$10 suggested donation at the door will go to support a local arts organization.
There will be two screenings of the double documentary feature, with a short Q+A session to follow with the filmmaker and a special guest from the documentaries:

Proper social distancing will be followed. Seats will be sanitized in between showings. Light beverages and individual snacks will be provided.
You must RSVP to hold your seat. If you intend to attend as a small family/group, please reserve your tickets together so we can adjust seating arrangements to appropriately accommodate your party, keeping in mind social distancing.
About the Filmmaker:
Wilder Nicholson, Brunswick Native, Bowdoin Graduate, founder of New Hearth Media, and Union + Co Member will host a series of two short films on sustainability with a Q&A to follow.
